A FILM BY ALMODÓVAR
GOLDEN LION WINNER BEST FILM AT VENICE FILM FESTIVAL 2024
To work with Pedro Almodóvar, one of the most important filmmakers of our time, is just something I would have never thought possible. If, on top of that, you are working with two of your favorite actresses of all time by the names of Tilda Swinton and Julianne Moore, it is normal that I was a bit nervous. Also, I am stepping into the shoes of some of my favorite DPs that came before me. Yes, I am nervous, it is a fact.
But truly, let's face it, what a joy! Doing a movie with wonderful people that are great at their job and share the same dream: to do another amazing film by the great Pedro Almodóvar! Never easy as the stakes are high. And I am nervous but also have an incredible team supporting me, making every step of the way more and more pleasant, more and more fun. Thank you all, it meant the World to me.
And here it comes the first teaser! I think we achieve our goal and we did a good Pedro Almodóvar film. But let the World be the judge of that. By the time being, let’s enjoy the celebration of the work done, of the path taken, of the choices made. Thank you all that have helped along the way. It’s time to be proud. And still a little nervous, cause you are never fully sure that you didn't screwed it up.
